50 years

Modern Poetry in Translation No.1: 50th anniversary microsite launches 30th April 2016
Modern Poetry in Translation is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded by Ted Hughes and Daniel Weissbort, the magazine has played a unique role over the past fifty years in bringing the best in world poetry to English-language readers.
To mark this important birthday we are building a microsite that makes the first issue of Modern Poetry in Translation widely available for the first time since it was published in 1965.
We are launching the microsite at two very special study days, at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and The Queen’s College, Oxford. Visit the MPT website or more information on these events.
