JS Tennant

JS Tennant is from North Yorkshire and has worked as a translator, ghostwriter, as Europe Manager for Dalkey Archive Press, and Literature & Partnerships Manager at PEN International. At the Commonwealth Foundation he was the editor of adda magazine and ran various international projects, including one focussed on literary translation across South and Southeast Asia. Tennant was poetry editor of The White Review between 2011-2016. 

His first book, about Cuba, is forthcoming from William Collins: it was the first English-language winner of the Michael Jacobs Award from the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for Journalism, and shortlisted for both the Fitzcarraldo Essay Prize and the Eccles Centre & Hay Festival Writer’s Award.
