Vaughan Rapatahana

VAUGHAN RAPATAHANA (Te Ātiawa, born 1953) is published across several genres in both of his main languages, te reo (Māori language) and English. A critic of the proliferation of English which threatens native tongues including Māori, he co-edited English Language as Hydra and Why English? Confronting the Hydra. In 2017 he was included in the list of Best New Zealand Poets.
