Alicia Aza

ALICIA AZA is a lawyer and a poet from Madrid. She has published three books: El Libro de los árboles (2010) which was a finalist for the Andalusia Critics award and was published also in a French translation; El Viaje del invierno (2011) which won the Rosalia de Castro International Poetry award and Las Huellas fértiles (2014).

OLIVIA MCCANNON’S poetry collection Exactly My Own Length (Carcanet/OxfordPoets, 2011) was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Centre Prize and won the 2012 Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. She lived for nine years in France and her translations include Balzac’s Old Man Goriot (Penguin Classics, 2011).
